Stuart A. Markussen, PE, RPLS, LEED AP

Principal and COO

Mr. Markussen joined the firm in 1996 as the manager of the Civil Engineering and Surveying Departments. Mr. Markussen brought to the firm a decade of experience working on “fast-track” design/build projects. His ability to foster a team approach to project design by incorporating the owner and contractor has been very successful in creating constructible designs. By viewing the design from multiple aspects he has been able to develop designs that promote a “win-win” situation for the project stakeholders.

After only 2 years with RLG, Mr. Markussen was asked to join the firm’s ownership group as a Principal/Shareholder. Since that time, under his direction and leadership, the Civil Division has implemented advances in technology that have been instrumental in the firms ability to convert 2D design to 3D modeling and BIM design. The firm currently utilizes AutoCAD® Civil 3D® – 2011 on all civil design projects.
